This course is designed to meet employers' requirements for work place first aid as laid out by the Health and Safety Executive.

Course purpose: At the end of the course the delegates will be able to:-
- Recognise the responsibility of employers and employees for health and safety at work
- Recognise and manage a range of incidents
- Recognise the priorities of ABC in life support
- Identify the reference sources for First Aid at Work guidance
- Perform several life-saving techniques including resuscitation
- Recognise and use the items contained in a First Aid Kit
- Recognise the appropriate recovery position or dealing with specific conditions
- Identify potential poisons in your work place
- Recognise and treat shock
- Assess wounds for severity and control bleeding using direct pressure
- All courses are certified on successful assessment at completion of programme
